This department, along with its board and commissions, including the Redevelopment Commission and Redevelopment Authority , Parking Commisssion , and Economic Development Commission play key roles to promote and encourage business growth and expansion, appropriate land use and improvement of Lafayette's neighborhoods. The City of Lafayette uses a variety of business assistance tools such as tax increment financing, tax abatement, job training funds, enterprise zone incentives, and other programming along with partnerships and assistance through Greater Lafayette Commerce .
